We are thrilled to announce a major victory for clean energy and climate action in Massachusetts! The recent passage of the climate bill by the state legislature and its subsequent signing by Governor Healey marks the culmination of years of dedicated work by climate advocates. We're particularly grateful to Senator Creem for her instrumental role in securing the inclusion of thermal energy provisions in the final bill.

This landmark legislation empowers gas companies to offer geothermal energy, enables regulators to assess whether such energy meets customer service standards, and ensures that infrastructure investments prioritize non-emitting thermal options while protecting consumer bills. These measures align utility regulations with the Commonwealth's ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. HEET is immensely proud of our early involvement in this transformative effort.
