HEET has a long history of caring deeply about real data and that hasn’t changed, whether we are measuring gas leaks or measuring thermal networks. What you measure, how you measure, the units you use—it all matters—and that is part of why answering the question “How big is that (Geo)Thermal Energy Network?” is currently causing some confusion, even among experts. To meet the urgent need for standardization of measurement and cost-comparison across the growing TENs ecosystem, HEET proposes the following standard measures for thermal networks in a new Memo & Technical Note.
