EJ Air

About the program

EJ Air helps residents of Dorchester, Roxbury and East Boston improve home insulation and access energy efficiency upgrades by connecting them with new and existing weatherization opportunities through Mass Save. The goal of EJ Air is to improve accessibility and address barriers to participation in Mass Save’s programs for households in underserved communities.

Weatherizing homes helps reduce energy bills and emissions while improving air quality. Homes that get weatherized are also better prepared to transition to electricity for all their energy needs. Switching from fossil fuels to electricity, while moving the electric grid to renewable energy, is the only way we can reduce our emissions to maintain a livable climate. To ensure a just transition for all, we must figure out how to transition urban homes without raising energy bills.

Our Partners

HEET is working with fellow environmental non-profit, All In Energy, to help households sign-up for FREE Home Energy Assessments, an important first step in getting weatherization and energy efficiency work done.

This program is funded by a settlement from a bus-idling lawsuit by The Conservation Law Foundation.
