After 18 long months of waiting, HEET is now a 501(c)(3) and we have become a federally recognized nonprofit. This means we are now a tax deductible organization and we can also apply for larger grants that require this federally recognized status.
HEET’s Jason Taylor has helped in this effort enormously by pursuing our 501(c)(3) status, especially with the challenges presented by the federal slowdown. Thank you Jason, for your tireless determination that has culminated in HEET’s new official nonprofit status!
If you donated to HEET over the last two years, your donation is now tax deductible. Speaking of which, this is a great time to contribute to HEET and our numerous projects, such as Squeaky Leak, Race to Solar, and Help for Hogs. Make your donation today and support your local grassroots nonprofit in our effort to making our communities more climate stable and resilient.
